Michael Callison graduated from Virginia Tech in 1978 and has been working as an Architect in the Washington, D.C. area since 1980. 

Over the course of his career, Michael has contributed to the success of some of the country's most notable Design offices including Allan Greenberg Architect, Mary Douglas Drysdale and The Joseph Boggs Studio. From 1989 to 96, Michael was a partner with James Stokoe. Stokoe Callison Architects was notable for its award winning renovation of the Lowell School, residential projects and museum store interiors. 

Today Michael Callison Architect is an office experienced in all aspects of residential design. New houses, additions, whole house renovations, interior architecture & cabinetry, furniture design, garden structures and planning. A practice that is as comfortable and skilled with new houses as well as old, and small homes as well as large ones.

In addition to the Washington area commissions, Michael provides design consultation to David Buergler Architect in San Francisco, California. The west coast projects are large traditional style residences with very detailed interior architecture.
